APEX FAMILY EXPO
This past weekend a group of students and instructors from Karate International of Apex participated in the Apex Family Expo at the Apex Community Center. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many wonderful local individuals and families and to showcase our training.
Shihan Houston led our group through two mini classes where audience volunteers learned some basic striking, blocking, and kicking techniques. In addition, students from our child and adult classes demonstrated several katas and self-defense techniques. None of this was rehearsed; as martial artists, we should be able to rely on our training at any time in any situation. Because of our practice, we are always prepared.
